Jamie Wheatley: Senior Programmer
James (Jamie) Wheatley became hooked on computer programming during his last year of high school and hasn't stopped thinking about the realm of possibilities made available through software development. He went on to finish a Bachelor's degree in a relatively new program at Queen's University called Cognitive Science in 2000. This program taught him how to draw from psychology to get computer programs to think in intelligent ways. Jamie - one of the original developers of the Informetica Learning Content Management System - has worked on a number of Windows and web applications during his career, involving technologies such as C++, ASP, ColdFusion, DirectX and SQL Server.
During his spare time, Jamie enjoys playing piano, gaming and creating hobby computer programs. His most recent project was a traffic simulator while he is now focused on how to create a bird recognizer.
