STEP-1:

When creating a certification, Informetica allows you to set expiration dates and will inform both the Issuer and the Participant when an expiry is approaching.  Rules must be set to define the certification and can include grade levels, time periods, accummulated courses, etc.

STEP-2:

Create your rules, assign the standards of the rules, then click the Add Rule button.  You now have set the certification standards and all that's left is to select the user group to whom these standards apply.  Select and save!

STEP-3:

Ensure your new certification is active.  Now, when a Participant affected by this certification checks their "My Certifications" tab, they will see that they need to meet the rules of certifiaction to achieve their certificate.
